Refund and cancellation policy

Scope

This policy covers paid programming consulting: project-based software engineering, technical reviews, and implementation support. General website browsing remains free.

Distance-selling withdrawal (proposed baseline)

Under Taiwan’s Consumer Protection Act, remote purchases may include a seven-day withdrawal period (七日猶豫期) for applicable transactions. Proposed, pending business confirmation: for consulting statements of work signed at a distance, you may cancel within seven days of signing if no substantial work has begun and no custom materials were delivered with your prior consent.

Services already started

Once we spend billable time with your approval—workshops, repository access, or deliverable drafts—withdrawal may be limited to unused prepaid amounts. Digital materials supplied with your consent are non-returnable.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel an upcoming engagement by email to info@originpath.digital. Cancellations received less than five business days before a scheduled on-site day may incur reasonable expenses already committed.

Cancellation by us

We may cancel if you breach payment or confidentiality terms, or if required resources are unavailable despite good-faith efforts. Prepaid unused fees are refunded.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within fourteen business days unless banking rules require longer. We will confirm amounts in writing.

Non-refundable items

Third-party licenses, travel already incurred, and completed review reports are generally non-refundable once delivered.

Disputes

We aim to resolve concerns directly. You may also refer to consumer protection channels available in Taiwan.
