API delivery blueprint
A practical sequence we use when scoping REST and event-driven services—adapted to your repository and release cadence.
Discovery and contract sketch
We start with your existing OpenAPI or protobuf definitions, traffic estimates, and compliance constraints. The output is a short design memo listing resources, error codes, authentication scheme, and non-goals. Nothing in this phase assumes a specific cloud vendor unless you already standardized one.
Build or hardening sprint
Implementation work lands behind feature flags when possible. We add contract tests, migration scripts, and observability hooks (structured logs, trace propagation headers) before you expose new routes to partners. Database changes include rollback notes and data backfill steps.
Review gate before cutover
For teams that already have code in flight, we can insert a read-only review week: threat modeling on auth flows, load assumptions, and retention on PII fields. Findings are ranked; we do not block a release unless you ask us to certify a go/no-go.
Handoff artifacts
Every engagement closes with updated diagrams, example curl calls, and a checklist your on-call engineers can follow. We do not retain production credentials after the statement of work ends.
